Gut health – it’s everywhere in the news these days, and while it's fantastic, it can also be a tad overwhelming. I've spent what feels like eons trying to mend and nurture my gut. It's endured a fair share of abuse thanks to my affection for gluten, the kale craze (who knew kale could be so intense?), and just generally not knowing what the heck to feed it. Did you know that a whopping 90% of the serotonin we produce originates from our guts? So, all those SSRIs? Toss 'em out the window because it's not your brain that's the mastermind behind your mood swings; it's your gut! It's like a little factory down there, churning out happiness based on what you feed it and how you treat it. And let's face it, sometimes it's hard to discern what's gut-friendly and what's not.
Dear friends, I am no expert, but I am on a journey, and I thought I'd share some of my recent discoveries because-I finally feel like my gut's doing a little victory dance.
