What I wanted for Chanukah but missed the deadline.
Good news, you can still get it for next year!
Well folks, I owe you an apology! I should have published this BEFORE the holidays, but alas here we are on the eve of Chanukah and Christmas Day!
The below list is what I should have told my husband I wanted but since speaking to ones spouse with 4 kids seems to be something that is becoming rarer and rarer, it was just a draft in my mind. Now you might be wondering why on earth I want kitchen stuff vs the good old fashioned bags, jewels and clothes bit. Well I make most of that, so I always strive for an area that I DONT make anything in, to make it less annoying for all parties involved.
I selected the below because as a fun fact into my excess aluminum toxicity, (there will be a dedicated substack to that journey) I am trying to RID my kitchen of anything aluminum based and it turns out, I have quite a lot……
I am now throwing out ALL my pans and going in favor of this Cast Iron Skillet which I dont need to worry about anything scratching, leeching or being at risk for any more exposure to any metal I dont need. Washing this is gonna be a pain in the ASS but alas cheers to health.
Next up is a whole new knife set, by a dear friend Ellen Bennet. She worked tirelessly for over a year to make the best chef grade knives and kitchen tools, with non toxic materials. I love that there are so many colors too. Here they are in this amazing Shiso green.
Last and final to round out this nerdy kitchen gift list is my kettle. I love the one I have, but this new Green one delights me and makes my black one seem way too boring. The best green teapot.
The good news is, it’s never a once a year time to ensure your kitchen is safe and healthy and non-toxic. Here is also a great link I found to help make your kitchen even healthier so that we can all consume less crap into 2025. She does the work for us!
Have a great rest of 2024!
xxRM
Happy Hanukkah Becky!🕎
