Let’s be honest: picking a wedding guest outfit is weirdly stressful. You want to look great (obviously), not outshine the bride (ideally), and still feel like yourself. Lucky for you, I’ve been to more weddings this year than I can count. So if you're heading to a wedding (or five) this season, here’s what I’d actually wear: dresses, accessories, and shoes that passed the dance floor test.
Let’s start strong. I wore this Acler gown to a wedding in Italy and felt like I was in a movie. Dramatic in the best way (the fashion kind). Ruffles, structure, and zero need for a necklace. Because a dress like this calls for minimalism everywhere else.

If your invite says cocktail party, this one’s a must. Think: vintage Parisian movie. I wore it to NYFW and let me tell you: the layers of beaded fringe were so fun. You need it.

Now, for some RM options (act surprised, at least). First up: the Sophie Suiting Dress. It’s strapless and—wait for it—has built-in shorts. (Yes, really.) Bonus points for the pockets. I style mine with a gold heel that doesn’t sink into the grass (wedding lawn hazard #1) and this turquoise necklace for a pop of color.

If you’re the mini dress type (cause same), the Carrie Eyelet Dress is it. Sleeveless, sweet, and it has the kind of low back that begs for a back-drop lariat necklace and an updo. Add these chunky initial rings (they’re adjustable), dress it up with a sandal that gives you height and comfort (shoutout padded insoles), and complete the look with this leather crossbody. Who said a black dress had to be boring? No seriously, that wasn’t a rhetorical question.

For a daytime wedding or outdoor venue, swap the leather for this Half Moon Clutch in straw. It’s the perfect balance between boho and edge (kind of my MO), and it also comes in black. Shocking, I know.

Pair it with the Paris Slingback, aka the MVP of my suitcase. I wore them all over Italy (lots of walking, to say the least) and they passed the test. The straw texture matches the Clutch, but they (obviously) look good with everything. I’m not biased, I swear.

And to round things out: enter the Ayla Studded Clutch. Add some mixed-metal jewelry, whatever black dress you have on rotation (brownie points if it’s one I mentioned earlier), and voilà. Outfit complete.

So, I can’t help you pick your table seat or avoid that one distant cousin who definitely overshares—but I can make sure you’re the best-dressed guest there. Happy wedding season.
